Sydney sights with Klook

17 November 2019

Scrolling through Klook's mobile app, you can find experiences on offer in popular overseas destinations as well as Australia, or by simply searching for a particular activity whether it be dining or skydiving. Everything you need to know can be found at the touch of your fingertips in this app, you can read all about the activity and what you can expect from it, reviews from other travellers, the activity's address, photos of the activity, itineraries and additional information, payment can also be made easily via the app. Most activities receive instant confirmation whereas others take less than 24 hours!

Being the organised person that I am, I will always contact the company, accommodation, restaurant etc directly beforehand just to confirm the time and date of my bookings, just to be on the safe side, there is nothing worse then turning up to your booking only to find that it has been misplaced.

One of the activities I booked through the Klook app was a helicopter flight with Sydney HeliTours. Excited was an understatement, this would be my first helicopter flight and Sydney looks beautiful from the ground so imagine seeing it from above!

This activity offers complimentary hotel pick up in Sydney's CBD but we decided to make our own way to their office as we were staying with my friend's family. Once arrived we checked in and watched a quick video which explained the safety procedures when on flight. Our helicopter flight duration was for 20 minutes and could hold up to four passengers. Myself, my friend and two other travellers were those passengers, one was to sit at the front and the other three in the back, the pilot decides where to seat each person based on weight and just my luck I was placed in the middle seat, but it certainly didn't stop me from viewing Sydney's amazing sights!

The day was overcast with light winds but up above the harbour you wouldn't even know it. The helicopter glided smoothly in the air as we went above some of Sydney's landmarks including the Harbour Bridge and Opera House, turning the helicopter around we changed scenery from the city to the coastline and wow, what a stunning coastline it is! I love the TV show Bondi Rescue, so to see Bondi Beach in person was a real highlight for me!

WHEN IT COMES TO SYDNEY IT CAN BE PRETTY OVERWHELMING DECIDING ON WHAT TO DO WITH ALL THE AMAZING THINGS ON OFFER. BOOKING THROUGH KLOOK MADE THE EXPERIENCE QUICK AND EASY AND YOU CAN LOCK IN YOUR ACTIVITIES IN ADVANCE OR ON THE GO!

Next activity on our list booked through Klook was a visit to Luna Park to relive some childhood memories! No visit to Luna Park is complete without a photo in front of the colourful entrance, look at that smile how could you resist?!

Luna Park is small in size compared to some theme parks Australia has to offer but luckily for us we had an unlimited ride pass each which is totally worth it especially if you have a soft spot for a particular ride or two and you can enjoy it as many times as you want! A favourite of mine is the Merry - Go - Round, there's just something really magical about it and reminds me of one of my favourite movies, Mary Poppins!

There's a good selection of rides to be enjoyed by people young and young at heart but even if you're not into the rides, just the atmosphere alone is enough to make you smile! There is so much colour and vibrancy at Luna Park as well as eateries and a bar, you can even indulge in a three course meal while on the ferris wheel, next idea for date night perhaps!

A highlight for me at Luna Park would have to be Coney Island, this funhouse has all things fun and games including crazy mirrors, huge slides, moving floors, a row of pinball machines and a mirror maze, I also love the photos on the walls showing the history of Luna Park and how it has changed over the years.

As well as rides Luna Park has a small handful of sideshow games where you can try your luck at winning prizes and if you have the time to stick around, Luna Park at night turns into a magical land full of fairy lights! Luna Park's opening hours are quite different each day so I would highly recommend checking out their website before planning a trip there.
