You may remember a while back when I did a blog of a private dining experience at WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo, well, Merlin Events invited me and a friend back for another incredible dinner and this time to one of my favourite places to be, under the sea!

During the day, the aquarium is full of life and activity as the public make their way to marvel at all the beauty and wonder to be discovered under the surface, but it's when the aquarium doors close for the day is when the magic truly happens!

Your private dining experience starts at 6pm, where guests gather outside to get their names ticked off and then the world is your oyster (pun intended!). For 45 minutes you have exclusive access to indulge on a self guided tour around the aquarium, minus the large crowds and screaming kids, absolute bliss if you ask me!

LOOKING FOR INSPIRATION FOR A ROMANTIC DATE NIGHT? OR PERHAPS A HEN'S NIGHT OR FUNCTION WITH THE WOW FACTOR? MAYBE JUST A SPECIAL AND MEMORABLE WAY TO CATCH UP WITH A FRIEND? WHY NOT WINE AND DINE UNDER THE SEA WITH MERLIN EVENTS AT SEA LIFE SYDNEY AQUARIUM?!

The aquarium has an abundance of displays and sections that will make you ooh and ahh at every turn! Experience the amazing sea life including fish of all shapes and sizes, octopus, coral, starfish, eels, rays, sharks and even Pig the dugong, one of only two dugongs in the world under human care!

At 7pm you will be guided to your dining area, and each and every one of them is so beautiful and unique! My friend and I had the absolute pleasure and enjoyment of dining in the Glowing Jellies room and wow, wow, wow!!

With calming music playing in the background and tanks of hundreds of glowing, colourful jellyfish surrounding you, this atmosphere is truly out of this world! Watching the jellyfish move around is so hypnotising and something I could watch all day long, it is just SO beautiful!

We were offered a beverage of choice, either beer, wine, water and soft drink, which the amazing staff top up for you in your 2 hour package. Entree was a selection of really yummy food including bruschetta, cheese, meats, olives and dip. For main I had the chicken with sweet potato and risotto, my friend Carissa had the roast lamb with veggies, both were cooked to perfection and so good! Dessert was a tasting platter of a beautiful selection of sweets.

I love a good night out of food, drinks and catching up with friends and a private dining experience with Merlin Events at SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium really tops it as one of the best i've ever had! The experience had everything I love and really is something you should keep in mind when planning a dinner or fun night out that is unique!
